ABOUT TRANSCENDENCE - an author's book by Ilona Linkevičienė published in 2025.

“About Transcendence” is my thourth book. I wrote it out of great respect and gratitude to brilliant artists for their transcendental creations and dedicate it to people interested in art and transcendence.

The book "About Transcendence" was born after the my third book "The Formula of the Tree of Life" and is closely related to it.

For many years, while working in the field of media culture, I initiated, prepared and implemented numerous cultural projects aimed at disseminating art in society. I communicated with famous artists and performers, trying to open the pearls of their creativity to the general public. And, it seems, I succeeded, because I received many words of gratitude from artists for understanding the depths of their creativity and proper presentation, as well as good feedback from the audience, to whom my articles and television programs were intended.

Almost 50 years of reflection on transcendence in art contributed to the experience I gained in thinking about transcendence... in mathematics, which is deservedly called the sister of philosophy, art and music. All these thoughts, along with insights into Euler's transcendental formula, fit into my third book of authorship – the novel “The Formula of Tree of Life”.

In this little book "About Transcendence", I focused mainly on the aforementioned insight into Euler's formula, which seems to open the gate to transcendence. It's like a new look at the world through the prism of... mathematics.

However, these are definitely not the pearls that the Bible, the Gospel according to Matthew, speaks of: “Do not give what is holy to dogs, nor throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn and tear you to pieces” (Matthew 7:6). No, these are not pearls. This is just a conversation with the reader, so that he or she may gain courage and start looking for their own pearls – treasures of wisdom – in art, nature, poetry, music... And if they are not destined to find them, they wish to be tolerant. Genius creators, who have God's gifts and share them with everyone, do not necessarily have to be understood by everyone. However, we, even if we don't understand, must respect them and their work, without waiting centuries for their time to be recognized.
